Ingredients

  • 2 g Matcha
  • 30-50 ml Water
  • 200 ml Oat Milk
  • ½ tsp ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup, Honey or similar

Method

  1. Put the matcha powder, if necessary through a sieve, into a bowl and add a splash of cold water. Stir thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved and a smooth, lump-free paste forms.
  2. Pour the hot, but not boiling water (70-80 °C) onto the paste and whisk the mixture with quick, W-shaped movements until a frothy matcha forms.
  3. Gently heat the milk in a small pot without bringing it to a boil. Froth it lightly if desired. Then add the cinnamon and stir until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the warm cinnamon milk together with the matcha into a cup and gently stir the mixture with a spoon so that the foam remains.
  5. Add maple syrup, honey, or another sweetener to taste. For a more intense cinnamon note, you can sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon as a finish over the latte.
  6. Enjoy the warm cinnamon matcha latte.
Good to know

Suitable Matcha: For a hot cinnamon Matcha Latte, the Organic Basic Matcha is ideal, but the Organic Classic Matcha also goes well with it.

Lighter Latte: For a less intense and lighter Matcha Latte, you can replace part of the oat milk with water in the last step.

Milk Alternative: Oat milk brings a natural sweetness and enhances the Matcha flavor. Alternatives like almond or soy milk can also be used and complement the aroma in their own way.

Special Touch: For a special aroma, you can add some nutmeg or cardamom to the milk.
