The secret of matcha
From the lush green of the tea plants to the fine powder in your cup - making matcha is an art in itself.

1. Shadow growth
The green tea plants grow under nets, which gives them an intense color and a rich aroma.

2. Hand selection
Only the best, young leaves are picked by hand. Machines cannot achieve this finesse.

3. Aroma retention
After picking, the leaves are steamed to preserve their vibrant color and flavors.

4. Final touches
The leaves are dried, cleaned and ground into a fine powder in stone mills - a complex process.
