The secret of Matcha
From the rich green of the tea plants to the fine powder in your cup - the production of Matcha is an art in itself.

1. Shadow growth
The green tea plants grow under nets, which allows them to develop an intense color and a rich aroma.

2. Manual selection
Only the best, young leaves are hand-picked. Machines cannot achieve this delicacy.

3. Aroma preservation
After picking, the leaves are steamed to preserve their bright color and aromas.

4. Final Touch
The leaves are dried, cleaned, and ground into fine powder in stone mills – a laborious process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions are important to us. To assist you in the best possible way, we have compiled a selection of the most frequently asked questions here.
Is matcha caffeinated?
Yes, matcha contains caffeine. However, in smaller amounts than in coffee or energy drinks. The effect sets in more gently and provides a steady supply of energy throughout the day. The L-theanine contained in matcha also promotes concentration while helping to stay relaxed at the same time.
Why Matcha?
Matcha is especially valued for its gentle and long-lasting energy supply, which comes without the typical highs and lows of coffee or energy drinks. Added to this are the diverse health benefits and, of course, the unique taste.
How do I recognize quality Matcha?
- The color should be bright and vibrant green. A yellowish or brownish hue indicates lower quality.
- A fresh smell with a sweet note. If the Matcha smells musty or very bitter, it is of lower quality.
- In terms of taste, a good Matcha convinces with a sweet and mild note.
- Other signs can be an organic certification, an exceptionally fine consistency, as well as a higher price.
You can learn more about this in our blog post.
Are there side effects?
As with any caffeinated beverage, too much Matcha can lead to insomnia, heart palpitations, and digestive problems. It is always good to enjoy in moderation.
And what if I don't like the taste?
Every new food often requires an adjustment period until you find the right preparation and develop a preference for it. However, it is understandable that Matcha is not to everyone's taste. That's why you can try our Matcha for 30 days. If you don't like it, simply send it back. We will then refund your purchase price.
