Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions are important to us. To help you as best as possible, we have put together a selection of the most frequently asked questions here.
Is shipping free?
Yes, shipping is free for orders worth CHF 20 or more.
How long does it take to receive my order?
It usually takes 2 to 3 working days for your order to arrive.
What if I don't like the taste?
Every new food often requires a period of getting used to until you find the right preparation and develop a preference for it. However, it is understandable that matcha does not appeal to everyone. That's why you can test our matcha within 30 days. If you don't like it, just send it back. We will then refund you the purchase price.
How do I recognize high-quality matcha?
- The color should be bright and vibrant green. A yellowish or brownish color indicates poor quality.
- A fresh smell with a sweet note. If the matcha smells musty or very bitter, it is of lower quality.
- When it comes to taste, a good matcha impresses with its sweet and mild note.
- Other signs can include organic certification, an exceptionally fine consistency and a higher price.
Why does high-quality matcha form clumps?
Interestingly, lumps in matcha are not a sign of poor quality. In fact, high-quality matcha that is ground very finely tends to form lumps even with minimal moisture. Lower quality matcha, which tends to be ground more coarsely, shows this tendency less strongly.
To prevent lumps from forming in matcha, we recommend straining the matcha powder through a fine sieve before preparing it.
