1 serving = 1 cup
Ingredients
- 2 g Matcha
- 30-50 ml Water
- 200 ml Oat Milk
- 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)
- 1 tsp Maple Syrup, Honey or similar
Method
- Sift the matcha powder, if necessary, into a bowl and add a splash of cold water. Stir thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved and a smooth, lump-free paste forms.
- Pour the hot, but not boiling water (70–80 °C) over the paste and whisk the mixture with quick, W-shaped movements until a frothy matcha forms.
- Heat the milk in a small pot over medium heat and stir in the cocoa powder until fully dissolved. Warm the mixture without bringing it to a boil, and froth lightly if desired.
- Pour the hot chocolate milk into a cup and add the whisked matcha. Stir gently and add maple syrup, honey, or another sweetener to taste.
- Enjoy the hot matcha chocolate.
