Ingredients
- 2 g Matcha (1 tsp = 2.5 g)
- 30-50 ml of water
- 200 ml oat milk
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup, honey or similar
Method
- Place the matcha powder into a bowl, sieving if necessary, and add a splash of cold water. Stir thoroughly until the powder has completely dissolved and a smooth, lump-free paste is formed.
- Pour the hot, but not boiling, water (70-80 °C) into the paste and beat the mixture with quick, W-shaped movements until a foamy matcha is formed.
- Gently heat the milk in a small saucepan without bringing it to the boil. Froth it slightly if necessary. Then add the cinnamon and stir until evenly distributed.
- Pour the warm cinnamon milk together with the matcha into a cup and stir the mixture gently with a spoon to retain the foam.
- Add maple syrup, honey or another sweetener to taste. For a more intense cinnamon flavor, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the latte as a finish.
- Enjoy the warm cinnamon matcha latte.
