What is Matcha?
Matcha is a special type of green tea made from finely ground young tea leaves.
The peculiarity lies in the cultivation method: before harvesting, the tea bushes are shaded, which causes the plants to produce more chlorophyll and nutrients and gives matcha its intense green color and rich taste.
Unlike regular green tea, where you only drink the infusion, with matcha you consume the whole tea leaf in powder form, which absorbs all the nutrients in the leaf.

Who are we?
We are a Swiss startup with the goal of bringing matcha to the Swiss kitchen table - and yes, we know, it's a challenge to introduce a green Japanese powder into the world of cheese fondue. But we are ready to prove to even the most stubborn Swiss that matcha is more than just a trend.
We four young founders are here to shake up the matcha market in Switzerland. We rely on four basic principles to make matcha the new favorite drink at the kitchen table.
