Organic Signature Matcha
Born in the fertile landscapes of Yame, this matcha is a testament to the fine art of tea cultivation. In a region known for its exquisite Gyokuro tea, the tea plants thrive under ideal conditions. The result is a matcha of incomparable quality, characterized by excellent taste, bright color and a deep, rich aroma.
In a process similar to Gyokuro, it is grown using traditional methods that involve shading the tea plants with reeds and straw before harvesting to block the light. This gives the leaves of the Yabukita cultivar, hand-picked in the first harvest in May, their unique character. Its production, characterized by traditional grinding in stone mills, unfolds a sensory experience that invigorates the senses and honors Yame's rich tea culture.
The flavor composition of this matcha is a true work of art. It combines sweet base notes with gentle fruit flavors and a distinctive umami note. It is ideal for matcha newbies and also offers a sophisticated discovery for connoisseurs. It is best enjoyed pure as a tea or as a creamy matcha latte to experience its full variety of flavors.
Organic Classic Matcha
Our Classic Matcha grows in the midst of untouched nature on the fertile soil of Kagoshima. The sunny plantations in this region offer ideal conditions for dense, nutrient-rich tea leaves. Located in the fertile Ariake region, the Matcha benefits from high-quality soil and plenty of spring water. Far away from the hustle and bustle of industry, our tea develops in this peaceful environment, which gives it its characteristic quality and deep authenticity.
The Classic Matcha thrives under the warm sun of southern Japan. The leaves of the Yutakamidori cultivar are selected with the utmost care during the harvest in June, which guarantees an incomparable taste experience. After the harvest, the leaves are finely ground. Each step in this process contributes significantly to the unique taste of the Matcha and pays tribute to the traditional craftsmanship of Kagoshima.
Our Matcha from Kagoshima is characterized by its mild taste and a refreshing note, accompanied by a subtle bitterness. Its natural sweetness makes it perfect for a variety of recipes, especially for a delicious Matcha Latte.
Chasen
Our Chasen, made from 100% natural bamboo, features 100 carefully hand-carved bristles. This fine craftsmanship makes each Chasen a unique tool for preparing matcha and reflects the traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

Why does high-quality matcha form clumps?
Interestingly, lumps in matcha are not a sign of poor quality. In fact, high-quality matcha that is ground very finely tends to form lumps even with minimal moisture. Lower-quality matcha, which tends to be ground more coarsely, shows this tendency less strongly.
To prevent lumps from forming in matcha, it is recommended to strain the matcha powder through a fine sieve before preparation.
